Outstanding "Anderson Special Putting Cleek, Rd No 277771" with the heel marked "8569" with off set blade similar to Taylor's twisted hosel Putter. Stamps are deep and bold. Original shaft with a replacement leather grip. G-8 $245.00
148.....3.....CRAIGIE, MONTROSE, SCOTLAND: A SCARCE DANDY PUTTER circa 1915-20 with a flanged back. "J & W Craigie, Montrose" and their "rifle" mark on the back. Hosel and shaft are oval. A nice unusual putter. G-7 $145.00

148.....11.....BRAZER & CO, LOWELL, MA: A circa 1900 straight blade brass putter with "Brazer & Co., Lowell" in block lettering. Very scarce early American maker. Not listed in Georgiady; however, I've had 3 or 4 examples of their forgings over the past 10 years. G-6+ $125.
148.....12.....SPALDING, USA: "SPALDING SPECIAL" on a C-1897 SUPERB Brass head blade putter. The shaft is a dramatic golden ASH and is stamped "Spalding Special" below the old sheep skin grip. About as nice as they come! G-9 $390.
148.....13.....UNKNOWN MAKER: TURN OF THE CENTURY BRASS BLADE. A nice two way Brass blade, C-1900 without stamps on either side. Looks Spalding or BGI. G-7 $85.

148.....17.....ANDERSON, D & SONS, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: Nice C-1920's Rustless Mashie. Original shaft with replacement wrapped leather grip. G-7++ $65.
148.....18.....ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: A GOOD ANDERSON GENERAL IRON. An early General Purpose Iron circa 1870, the large head having a hooked face and thick hosel. The top of blade and hosel join are squared off indicative of early hand forgings. The hosel had long jagged saw tooth nicking which was trimmed when the shaft, bearing Forgan's stamp, was replaced. Anderson's tiny mark is faintly identifyable on the back. A nice example of Anderson's early forgings. G-6 $500.
148.....19.....ANDERSON OF ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: "W B McMeekin, Vale-of-Leven" on back of a circa 1915-20 "Iron" with the large "Circle" mark. "Arrow" maker's mark pointing towards toe. Replaced shaft. G-5 $48.
148.....20.....BRAID, JAMES, WALTON HEATH: JAMES BRAID MID-IRON. Three tiny "Crown" stamps at the toe of a "Mid Iron" stamped "James Braid, Walton Heath, Surrey". All original with ash shaft, sheep skin grip and lined face. Nice collectible club. G-7+ $95.
148.....21.....BUSSEY & CO., LONDON: OUTSTANDING BUSSEY MASHIE. "Patented Steel Socket" and "G S B" with an arrow through it below "Bussey & Co., London" on a smooth face Mashie. The steel socket "Seam" clearly visible on the hosel. "Mashie" stamped on the original shaft just below the original "One Piece Grip" marked "Bussey's Grip Handle". Very scarce in "All Original" condition. G-8 $390.00

148.....25.....CONDIE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A GOOD CONDIE. An outstanding C-1905-10 smooth face, bisected back Mashie with "G McHardy, Buenos Aires" surrounding Condie's "Flower" stamp. All original. G-8. $110.
148.....26.....CRAIGIE, J & W, MONTROSE: An outstanding large head Niblick with Craigie's oval mark with a tiny "star" in the center and also his usual "Rifle" Cleek mark. Nice scarce club. G-7++ $95.
148.....27.....DUNN & SON, BOURNMOUTH: "Dunn & Son" weak, however readable on a C-1900 smooth face Cleek. Original shaft has a longer replacement grip covering part of the "Dunn & Son, Bournmouth" stamp. G-5+ $95.
148.....28.....FOREST, GEORGE, NORTH BERWICK: A nice C-1920 Mashie from one of Scotland's most famous courses. Shaft and grip are nice replacements. G-7 $60.
148.....29.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: AN EARLY FORGAN LOFTER. A good C-1890's Lofting Iron with a weak, however readable, Forgan stamp on the back. The original shaft has a full "R Forgan & Sons, St Andrews" stamp below a period type grip over original listing. An inexpensive early example of Forgan's work. G-6 $165.
148.....30.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: AN EARLY FORGAN CLEEK. A nice circa 1880-90 long face Cleek, the head and shaft stamped "R Forgan & Sons, St Andrews". Head stamp is nearly "emoried" away. The hosel is 4 1/2 inches long with short saw tooth nicking and has a "Squared Off" top of blade and hosel join indicative of pre-1890 forging. Grip is an old original looking sheep skin. G-7 $275.
148.....31.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: "Army & Navy C S L Holdfast, London" along with Gibson's "Star" mark on a smooth face circa 1910 Iron. Reshafted and has a brass hosel pin. G-5+ $65.
148.....32.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A nice all original "Deep Face Mashie" with a line scored face. G-7 $75.
148.....33.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: OUTSTANDING GIBSON MAXWELL JIGGER. "Star Maxwell Jigger" with 10 wrap around holes drilled in the hosel. Small "Star" stamped into the shaft. G-8 $95.00

148.....35.....GOURLAY, JAMES, CARNOUSTIE, SCOTLAND: Gourlay's "Crescent and Star" mark at the toe of a C-1920 Mid-iron. Looks to be an "Inspection Dot" at the toe. Original RINGED Hickory shaft with a period replacement all weather grip. Nice collectible. G-7 $75.
148.....36.....HALLEY'S, LONDON: Crossed Swords cleek mark on a C-1920 rounded back, dot punched face "Sammy Iron". Similar to a Jigger, however about 10-15 times scarcer. G-7 $85.
148.....37.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: An all original circa 1915-1920 dot punched face Driving Iron marked "George Nicoll" in script and "1 Iron" deeply stamped beside the "Hand" mark near the toe. G-7 $65.
148.....38.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: An early compact head, smooth face Cleek with Nicoll's first "Hand" mark circa 1898-1900. Only "Warranted, Hand Forged" and the "Hand" are on the back. Original shaft with replacement grip. An average G-5 club, but very seldom offered. $75.

148.....48.....STEWART, TOM, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: C-1900-1905 Lofter with "H Vardon, Totteridge" on the back above Stewart's "Pipe" mark without the registration stampings beneath. Lines later added to the face. G-6 $75.
148.....49.....TULLOCH, J, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND: Circa 1900 smooth face Iron stamped "J Tulloch, Glasgow". Shaft and grip are period replacements. Very seldom offered maker. G-6 $65.
148.....50.....UNKNOWN MAKER: Circa 1905-1910 smooth face straight faced (driving iron) with the "British Flag" mark at toe. Markings on back nearly "emoried" away by caddies. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-5+ $60.
148.....51.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A NO NAME LOFTING IRON. A wide toe smooth face Lofting Iron C-1895 with all stamps "emoried" away by over zealous caddies. Nice face shape. G-7 $100.
148.....52.....UNKNOWN MAKER: DREADNAUGHT MASHIE NIBLICK. A Giant size head. All original. G-7+ $165.
148.....53.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A good 19th Century General Iron in the John Gray style with large dished face and squared top of blade and hosel join. The hosel pin, barely visible, is high near the nicking also is an indication it is much earlier than the Clan and Ayers irons of 1890. Old sheep skin grip over old listings on a nice, original looking, hickory shaft. My best conservative guess is 1860-70. A nice addition to even an advanced collection. G-7 $850.
148.....54.....VICKERS, SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND: Circa 1915-20 hyphen face "Mashie No. 23" with the "Double K" maker's mark at the toe. This iron has a very wide sole and a flanged back. Shaft is a replacement. G-5+ $65.
148.....55.....WINTON, W & CO, LT'D, MONTROSE, SCOTLAND: Winton's "Diamond" mark on a circa 1910 smooth face Niblick stamped "Ted Ray's Own Niblick" and having a "Diamond Back" weighting design. The pointed toe head is shaped similar to the "Cannon" patent. Shaft and grip originals. G-6 $135.00

148.....57.....AMPCO, MILWAUKEE: "Approach Iron" stamped on the sole and "Ampco Golden Eagle" on the back of an outstanding Brass alloy type head. Original shaft, with sticker and original grip. Super nice display club. G-8+ $90.

148.....61.....KIRK, WM, "Wm Kirk, Special" on a circa 1900-05 smooth face Lofting Iron that has the appearance of a Willie Dunn, New York made head. Shaft is a nice replacement. G-7 $75.
148.....62.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: A "Duralite Mashie-iron #4" with two stars at the heel. Original stamped shaftwith a nice replacement grip. G-7 $60.
148.....63.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: A "Tomahawk Brand 'T-1" Mashie Iron". The top of the blade smooth with the bottom having a dot and hyphen "Shield" design. Very scarce and underrated. Cut down fshaft. G-4. $60.
148.....64.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: A scarce circa 1915 "Popular 'A' Driving Mashie" with widely spaced dots face scoring. Original stamped shaft has a repair. G-5+ $75.

148.....70.....REID, JOHN, NEW YORK: RARE JOHN REID IRON. C-1895-1900 smooth face Iron with "John Reid, Special" in a circle. A very scarce early American maker! Original looking shaft with replacement grip. G-6 $135.
148.....71.....SPALDING, USA: "G S Sparling" on back of a smooth face Driving Iron with concentric back weighting . The original shaft is marked "G F Sparling, Hand Made". Made by A G Spalding Bros. G-7 $75.
148.....72.....SPALDING, USA: Circa 1902-1905 shallow smooth face "Model C" Jigger with the "Baseball" trademark. Shaft is stamped below the original grip that is a bit rough. G-6. $75.

148.....81.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A Virtually MINT Anti-Shank "2 Iron" stamped "J Rowe, Forest Row" with a severe "Crook" in the hosel. A nice display club with Gibson's "Star" mark. G-9 $195.
148.....82.....UNKNOWN MAKER: OUTSTANDING ANTI-SHANK Niblick C-1910-15 stamped "Fairlie Pattern" in block lettering and also having the British "Union Jack" Flag mark near the toe. G-8 $265.
148.....83.....HEATLY, BRUCE: INTERESTING SPLICED NECK CLEEK. An outstanding C-1920 spliced neck wooden CLEEK stamped "Bruce Heatly" in script. This unusual wood has a full brass sole plate and the loft of about a #4 wood. All original. G-8 $275.
148.....84.....PATTERSON, JAMES: "James Patterson, Maker" on a C-1905-1910 Spliced Neck Persimmon head Driver with three wood pegs holding a fiber slip. All original and a nice wood. G-7. $175.

148.....87.....WRIGHT & DITSON, BOSTON, MA: A GOOD SPLICED NECK BULGER BRASSIE. 'Wright & Ditson, Selected" in script on a C-1893-1896 Semi-Long Nose Bulger Face Brassie. The shaft is stamped with "Wright & Ditson" in microscopic block letters on the shaft. Splice whipping and grip are replacements. G-6 $375.
