The hosel is 4 1/2 inches long with short saw tooth nicking and has a "Squared Off" top of blade and hosel join indicative of pre-1890 forging. Grip is an old original looking sheep skin. G-7 $325.
146.....25.....GALLOWAY, T, PITTENWEEM: A SUPER SCARCE circa 1910 "Deep Mashie" double stamped with Nicolson's "Gold Medal, Edinburgh Exposition, 1890" mark and "T Galloway, Successor to D. Nicolson, Pittenweem". Underrated by Georigiady. I have seen only a hand full of these in the past 10 years! G-7 $100.
