144.....1.....ANDERSON, D & SONS, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A flanged back "Maxwell Putting Cleek" with the hosel having four rows of three holes drilled vertically in the hosel. Rust was cleaned from the head. Very scarce! G-6 $125.00
144.....2.....AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: A nice all original rustless "Staynorus" dot face blade. G-7+ $70.00
144.....3.....BREWS, GEORGE, BLACKHEATH: C-1910 wood and brass head mallet. The brass back wraps around and covers the entire sole. The shaft is through the hosel and showing at the heel on the bottom. "Brews Patent Putter" stamps on the head are partially readable. Still a formidable collectible with great eye appeal. 144.....5.....COCHRANE'S LT'D, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND: A scarce "The Mac" model putter with a short, very thick blade. Cochrane's "Bow Line Knot" mark is at the toe. Patent numbers at the heel. Shaft has a warp at the grip. G-7 $135.00
144.....6.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: C-1890 straight blade smooth face putter with top of blade and hosel join squared indication an early forging. Head and shaft stamped "R Forgan & Sons, St Andrews". Original tattered sheep skin grip. Shaft has whipping covering an old repair. G-6+ $145.00
144.....7.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: An outstanding Anti-Shank Putter with heel and toe weighting bulges and a crook in the hosel. Reshafted, otherwise it would rate a SUPERB grade. G-7++ $195.00
144.....8.....GOURLAY, JAMES, CARNOUSTIE, SCOTLAND: A Maxwell off set hosel flanged back with 12 wrap around holes. Face has interesting criss-cross scoring with small stars in each diamond. G-6 $120.00

144.....10.....KAY, J, SEATON, CAREW: An Orion style large flanged back with the St Andrew Golf Co,. running Stag stamp and "J Kay, Seaton, Carew" on the back. Original shaft with replaced grip. G-6+ $140.00
144.....11.....MC EWAN, MUSSELBURGH "McEwan, Musselburgh" surrounds Robert Condie's "Flower" cleek mark on a C-1900 smooth face blade. All original with old sheep skin grip. The tops of the McEwan stamp is deep and the "Musselburgh" is only partially readable as the bottom of his stamp was struck in lightly. G-6 $95.00
144.....12.....PARK, WILLIE, MUSSELBURGH, SCOTLAND: An outstanding example of a C-1900 "Park's Special Patented" bent neck Putter. The stamps are nearly gone, however, this putter, with original "Wm Park" stamped shaft is quite nice and surely playable. Grip is wrapped leather c-1910-15. G-7 $150.00

144.....16.....TAYLOR, ALEX, NEY YORK CITY: An outstanding C-1920 "R Gem Putter" also stamped "Made In Scotland" and "Alex Taylor & Co., Inc., New York City". Line scored face and off set hosel, nice replaced shaft. G-8 $120.
144.....17.....TOOLEY, A & SONS, LONDON: A Massive aluminum head, offset hosel mallet Putter stamped "A Tooley, Makers, London, S E". An outstanding example of this unusual putter. Great display club. G-8 $290.00
144.....18.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A two-way smooth face blade with all stamps emoried away. Looks C-1895-1900. G-7 $85.00
144.....19.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A BOAT shaped Schenectady style putter acquired in England and presumably made there prior to 1909 as they were banned by the R & A at that time. The hosel has several cracks. Overall a fairly nice example. G-6. $125.00
144.....20.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A SEVERELY OFF SET PUTTER similar to the William Lowe as described and pictured in "Ellis" P-182. Unusual shaped head with the hosel extended to the blade. G-6+ $375.00
144.....21.....UNKNOWN MAKER: "UK Pat. 323897" on the sole of a LONG NOSE black plastic like head fitted with a STEEL SHAFT having a "St. Andrews Bend". See P-87, The Vintage Era of Golf Club Collectibles, by Ronald John (You can order this book through me). He values it at $750.00. The patent stamp on the bottom is very light owing to the fact that on Mr. John's example, only "Pat" and "389" are readable. $590.00
144.....22.....WHITE, JACK, SUNNINGDALE: Nicoll's "Hand" mark shaped like a workman's glove (I have encountered 13 different styles and types of Nicoll's hand marks) with "Whippett Putter" in block lettering below. The hosel is five inches long and the shaft is stamped "Jack White". Nice collectible. G-7+ $100.00
144.....23.....WHITE, JACK, SUNNINGDALE, ENGLAND: "The Sunningdale Putter" below White's "Smiling SUN" mark. This highly collectible scarcity has a rectangular weighting bar on the bottom and a nearly 7 inch long oval neck with a distinctive "ridge" running up the front and continuing up the hickory shaft through the wrapped leather grip. This is similar to the "Shiva" model putters by Winton. G-7 $375.00
144.....24.....WINTON, W & CO, LT'D, MONTROSE, SCOTLAND: A Calamity Jane type off set hosel putter with head and shaft stamped "J Winton, Montrose". Shaft has a warp in the grip. G-7 $60.00

144.....25.....CANN & TAYLOR, LONDON, ENGLAND: A "Mills" type aluminum head with "Model 'F'" and "10.14", signifying the weight in ounces, on the bottom. "J H Taylor, Reg. # 607239" is stamped above and below the unusual raised "sight" line on the head. There is a chip out of the hosel and a crack to the hosel pin on one side. Head and stampings are good, hosel is the only problem. G-5 $175.00
144.....26.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: An aluminum Mills type mallet putter stamped Macgregor. Old replacement shaft. G-5 $85.00
144.....27.....SLAZENGER, NEW YORK: "Slazenger" in block letters on a circa 1905-1910 shallow head aluminum mallet with a cross hatched face. Shaft appears to be the original with a replacement grip over old listing. One hosel crack keeps this out of the "most desirable" class. G-6 $175.00
144.....28.....STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: An outstanding "Braid-Mills 1915 Model" witha flat lie. Strong head and sole stampings and a sound hosel. A nice inexpensive top grade Mills putter. G-8 $95.00
144.....27.....STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: "Bent Neck Putter" on the sole of a "R M Model" Mills aluminum head mallet. Sole and head stamps are good, the hosel has one hair line crack. Scarce! G-7 $120.00
144.....30.....STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: A Long Nose "L" Model with an upright lie. Sole stampings are excellent with weak head stamps. Hosel has one crack. G-6 $150.00
144.....31.....BRAID, JAMES, WALTON HEATH: "The Braid Special" at the toe of a late 1920's line scored blade with an unusual large "Anchor" mark at the heel. Grip is a playing replacement. G-7 $60.00
144.....32.....BURKE MFG CO, NEWARK, OH: An outstanding example of a C-1920's "Columbia Special" blade putter. Burke's "Lion" mark at the toe and the "Crown" mark at the heel. G-8 $60.00
144.....33.....BURKE MFG CO, NEWARK, OH: A nice "X-11 Burke Standard Putter" C-1920 with their "Bee" mark at the toe and "Daisy" at the heel. Interesting alternating rows of square punches and lines for face scoring. G-7 $60.00
144.....34.....BURKE MFG CO, NEWARK, OH: An outstanding "Universal Special Putter" C-1920 with Burke's "Rampant Lion" mark at the toe and "Crown" at the heel. Interesting square punched face scoring. G-8 $65.00

144.....39.....HILLERICH & BRADSBY, LOUISVILLE, KY: A virtually MINT new "Lo-Skore 80 P Putter" C-1920's. Original red paint is still in the stars on the back and on the sweet spot. G-9+ $90.00
144.....40.....KROYDON, NEWARK, NJ: A center shafted ambidextrous aluminum head with "Kroydon S 33 A Putter" on the one inch wide sole. Waffle face scoring on both the right and left hand sides. Round lead weights at heel and toe. Nice display putter. G-7 $250.00

144.....59.....THOMS, CHARLES D, SHINNECOCK HILLS, NY: C-1910-15 wide flanged, broad sole oval hosel putter. The face has a Pyramid dot design. "Chas. A Thoms, Shinnecock Hills" in an oval on the back. Shaft and grip appear to be originals although the hosel pin has been replaced. G-7 $195.00
144.....60.....UNKNOWN MAKER: "Velaney, Chicago" stamped on the back above "Goose Neck Putter". All original with a line scored face. This has a bent neck similar to a Calamity Jane. G-7 $65.00
144.....61.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A nice circa 1905-15 Schenectady type putter with hatched face scoring and "Tom Anderson, Montclair, NJ" on the alumimnum head. Original shaft. G-7+ $245.00
144.....62.....UNKNOWN MAKER: Unusual RECTANGULAR shallow face aluminum head putter stamped "The AAA Putter". Jeff Ellis offered one in his 1996 Catalogue for $550. and stated it was the only one he had seen! I assume we can label this one RARE. G-7 $450.00
