142.....8.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A BOAT shaped Schenectady style putter acquired in England and presumably made there prior to 1909 as they were banned by the R & A at that time. The hosel has several cracks. Overall a fairly nice example. G-6. $125.
142.....9.....WHITE, JACK, SUNNINGDALE: Nicoll's "Hand" mark shaped like a workman's glove (I have encountered 13 different styles and types of Nicoll's hand marks) with "Whippett Putter" in block lettering below. The hosel is five inches long and the shaft is stamped "Jack White". Nice collectible. G-7+ $100

The hosel pin, barely visible, is high near the nicking also is an indication it is much earlier than the Clan and Ayers irons of 1890. Old sheep skin grip over old listings on a nice, original looking, hickory shaft. My best conservative guess is 1860-70. A nice addition to even an advanced collection. G-7 $850.

"R Whit" is all that is readable on the back. The shaft appears to be something other than Hickory or Ash with a nice sheep skin grip. Shaft and grip are worth $100. alone! G-5++ $165
