The auctioneer will execute your bids as though you were in attendance. Example: You submit a bid on Lot #123 for $500. When the auctioneer opens Lot #123 for live bidding, it will be at one increment (usually 10%) over the next highest bid submitted by absentee bidder(s) and commences onward until the highest bidder is acknowledged. If the highest bid, other than yours, is $300., the auctioneer opens Lot #123 at $350. on your behalf. If no one overbids, the lot is yours for $350., NOT $500.! On the other hand, if a bidder in attendance bids $400., the auctioneer will again bid on your behalf, your bid now being $450. as though you were actually in the room. If a live bidder bids $500., the auctioneer will honor HIS bid and your $500. bid will be out as all ties between live bidder and absentee bidders are awarded to the live bidder.
Keep in mind there is a 12 1/2% BUYERS fee added to the hammer price of each lot.

LOT# 1 TOM MORRIS LONG NOSE PUTTER with large lead weight. Presentation shield affixed to the shaft below the grip is inscribed "RAAG, Christmas 1880". Whipping appears to be original as well as the grip. G-7+ $1600-2400
LOT# 2 MC EWAN LONG NOSE PUTTER Circa 1885-90. This oversized Beech head Driving Putter has a huge lead back weight. It has been fitted with an exotic Greenheart shaft which is stamped "McEwan Selected Shaft". The sheep skin grip is outstanding. G-7 $800-1400

LOT# 54 EARLY FORGAN LOFTER. A good C-1890's Lofting Iron with a weak, however readable, Forgan stamp on the back. The original shaft has a full "R Forgan & Sons, St Andrews" stamp below a period type grip over original listing. An inexpensive early example of Forgan's work. G-6 $120-200
LOT# 55 RARE JOHN GRAY GENERAL IRON with a long, hooked, dished face and five inch saw tooth nicked hosel. A patch of rust nearly covers the "Y" in "Jn Gray". Original looking shaft and sheep skin grip. G-6 $750-1200
LOT# 56 OUTSTANDING GENERAL IRON exhibiting very little play. No visible stamps on the back (might never have had any). The head is characteristic Jamie Anderson c-1880 with long, heavy hosel nicking. G-8 $350-600
LOT# 57 MID-19th CENTURY GENERAL IRON with squared top of blade and hosel join. The thick hosel is five inches long and has saw tooth nicking. A late feather ball era example most likely C-1860-70. Grip and shaft are replacements. G-6+ $500-1000
LOT# 58 GOOD 19th CENTURY GENERAL IRON in the John Gray style with large dished face and squared top of blade and hosel join. The hosel pin, barely visible, is high near the nicking also is an indication it is much earlier than the Clan and Ayers irons of 1890. Old sheep skin grip over old listings on a nice, original looking, hickory shaft. My best conservative guess is 1860-70. A nice addition to even an advanced collection. G-7 $600-1000
LOT# 59 Winton's "Diamond" mark on a circa 1910 smooth face Niblick stamped "Ted Ray's Own Niblick" and having a "Diamond Back" weighting design. The pointed toe head is shaped similar to the "Cannon" patent. Shaft and grip originals. G-6 $90-150
LOT# 60 OUTSTANDING SMOOTH FACE BUSSEY MASHIE. "Patented Steel Socket" and "G S B" with an arrow through it below "Bussey & Co., London". The steel socket "Seam" clearly visible. "Mashie" stamped on the shaft just below the original "One Piece Grip" marked "Bussey's Grip Handle". Very scarce in "All Original" condition. G-8 $275-450
