ALUMINUM "MILLS" TYPE MALLET PUTTERSArchived 8/27/1999 - These putters are no longer available and are here for informational purposes only. ADD 11 CANN & TAYLOR, LONDON, ENGLAND: A "Mills" type aluminum head with "Model 'F'" and "10.14", signifying the weight in ounces, on the bottom. "J H Taylor, Reg. # 607239" is stamped above and below the unusual raised "sight" line on the head. There is a chip out of the hosel and a crack to the hosel pin on one side. Head and stampings are good, hosel is the only problem. G-5 $175. ADD 12 CASSIDY, J L, ALDBURGH: An aluminum head mallet Putter with a raised "V" sightline. The hosel is sound. The grip is a replacement wrapped leather. A scarce Patented Putter circa 1915-20. G-7 $115 ADD 13 STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: "Braid-Mills Model" Putter with a Medium Lie. All markings are deep and bold. The hosel is sound. Replaced grip on the original shaft. G-6+ $75 ALP-01 KROYDON, NEWARK, NJ: A MacDougal style putter with aiming bars and hollowed out area on top of an aluminum mallet. "Kroydon S 30 B Putter" is on the sole. Original shaft and grip. G-7 250.00 ALP-02 SLAZENGER, NEW YORK: "Slazenger" in block letters on a circa 1905-1910 shallow head aluminum mallet with a cross hatched face. Shaft appears to be the original with a replacement grip over old listing. One hosel crack keeps this out of the "most desirable" class. G-6 145.00 ALP-03 STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: A nice all original "Braid-Mills 1915 Model" Putter with a Medium Lie. One tiny chip at the top of the hosel keeps this from being outstanding. This would make a great playable. G-7 95.00 ALP-04 STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: A nice "Braid-Mills" upright lie aluminum mallet with good head and sole stampings. No hosel cracks and an original shaft. Grip is a period wrapped leather replacement.
