Most commercial bandings are made from built-up, dyed veneers which show no wood grain, and have a bunch of little lines wher the veneers meet.

The central portions of my bandings are made from solid wood, which show the natural, face-cut grain and natural color of the wood. There is no end-grain showing! Being made from solid domestic and exotic hardwoods, these inlay bandings will show their grain nicely when finished.
