It is possible to bend stringing using dry heat. The stringing is bent on a hot pipe. The picture shows 1/16 satinwood stringing bent to a 1-1/4" radius. It is possible to bend this to a bit tighter radius if you bend it very slowly. Holly stringing is more flexible and will bend to a much tighter radius with dry heat. I have easily bent holly to a 1/2" radius using heat, and 1/16 holly will bend to about a 2" radius without heat. 1 mm (.040") holly will bend to about a 1-1/4" radius without heat.
